We stand at a crossroads in our nation's history. Barack Obama and his
minions are attempting an unprecedented power grab. If they are allowed
to succeed, it will forever change our country, and it will definitely
diminish the rights of every American citizen.
Obama has
appointed no less than 37 czars that answer only to him. Even the House
and Senate have no power over them. These czars have very radical
backgrounds.
John
Holdren,
the science czar, advocated population control and mandatory abortions.
Van Jones, the environmental czar, was profiled byGlenn Beck
extensively last week on his popular Fox News program. He is an avowed
communist with ties to black nationalism and anarchism. Jones was also
affiliated with the Weather Underground, the group Bill Ayers is famous
for, which was responsible for blowing up buildings - and
apologetically.
With all of these radicals advising Obama on
policy, one has to wonder what kind of moves he will make to ensure
that these policies are implemented.
Obama has talked of
building a civilian national security force. What will be its purpose?
Will it be to control the citizenry if they revolt against the policies
of a Marxist regime? The military itself is
currently recruiting men and women to work in internment camps. (See an ad for an internment specialist on the Army's website
here.) Where will these camps be located? And whom are they intended to confine?
There
has been talk of the FCC re-implementing the Fairness Doctrine or some
form of it, for the purpose of effectively silencing the opposition to
Obama's
policies. Now comes word that a Senate bill would give the White House
the power to disconnect private sector computers from the Internet. The
Obama regime claims it would only utilize that power in a
cybersecurity emergency. But who determines what constitutes an emergency? These questions remain unanswered.
The American people have responded to
Obama's
health care plan powerfully, speaking up at town hall meetings,
demanding answers from their senators and representatives regarding a
1000 plus page bill that many of them have not taken the time to read.
Citizens on all sides of the political spectrum are abhorred by the
idea of losing their choices when it comes to medical treatment. And
there is a legitimate fear that bureaucrats will make decisions on who
is worthy to live and when the proverbial plug should be pulled.
But
while the reaction to health care is laudable, it may be a case of not
seeing the forest for the trees. There is a much larger picture here
with regard to the government attempting to take complete control of
the lives of its citizens.
We must remain vigilant to everything
this administration is attempting to do. If not, we will soon find
ourselves in a country our Founding Fathers would not recognize.
