Barack Obama is a liar.
Make no mistake about it, the usurper to
the Oval Office out and out lied to the American people regarding his
plan to nationalize health care. In the first place, he claims his plan
is not to actually take over the health care system and make it a
government run program. But he was contradicted on this by Nancy
Pelosi and Barney Frank, both of whom claim there are forces afoot trying to stop "government run health care."
Obama
also lied when he said that the Democrat's plan would allow anyone who
is currently satisfied with their plan to keep it. And if they are
happy with their doctor, they can keep their physician as well. But
anyone who has taken the time to read this 1018 page bill, (thanks for
nothing, John
Conyers), finds that if your employer decides that
Obamacare is a more cost-effective way to go, you are stuck with the
government plan. You cannot opt to switch to another private carrier on your own once
Obamacare
takes effect. If you're self-employed and are dissatisfied with your
current provider once the government plan is passed, you can only
switch to
Obamacare. If you are uninsured at the time
Obamacare is passed, that is your only option. And if you choose not to enroll, you will be subject to a punitive tax.
There
is a rift developing in the Democrat party over the health care issue.
Blue Dogs are opposed to the plan, and at least in the House have
worked out a compromise that still keeps many of
Obama's plans intact. A full House vote on the plan will not come until
September,
with the Senate expected to take it up in the fall. House Republicans
offered their own $700 billion plan that included tax credits to help
people buy insurance, which appealed to moderate Democrats, but with
Republicans out of power, that plan will go nowhere.
Now with
the August recess underway, the American people have an opportunity to
visit with their congressmen and women, and give them an earful. New
polls indicate people are not happy with
Obamacare the more they learn about it.
They
hear horror stories about how nationalized health care has worked in
other countries such as Canada and Great Britain. People in
those
nations wait an interminable amount of time for procedures such as an
MRI. Treatments such as chemotherapy for cancer are actually rationed
in Canada. One 85 year old woman in Great Britain is on a waiting list
for a hip replacement that is scheduled for the year 2018. This is a
nightmare.
A single payer health care system will drive
physicians out of the medical profession in droves. If health care
professionals feel that they are hogtied in making
decisions on their patients' medical treatment options because of government bureaucrats pulling tight
purse strings, they will opt to find another profession. This will create the long waits to get in to see a doctor.
Another disturbing aspect of
Obamacare is the idea that it will lead to a degradation of human life. Mathews
Staver,
founder
of Liberty Council, said "In the same way that the bill pushes elderly
or the sick toward euthanasia, it is a pill that would cause economic
suicide. "It's a euthanasia bill for America."
Obama claims he only wishes senior citizens to consider the creation of living wills, for the purpose of letting their
families
and physicians know their wishes when it comes to end of life issues.
In reality, what this health care bill does is to ask older Americans
who may be facing a health problem requiring treatment which the
government is loathe to pay for, to fall on
their swords and die for the good of their country. Death becomes the patriotic thing to do under
Obamacare.
Health care has become the defining issue of
Obama's so-called presidency. South Carlina Senator Jim
Demint said "Senators and Congressmen will come back in September afraid to vote against the American people,"
adding that "this health care issue Is D-Day for freedom in America.
"If we’re able to stop Obama on this it will be his Waterloo. It will
break him."
The American people can help make that Waterloo
happen by bombarding their Congressmen and Senators with their
opposition to this horrible socialistic health care plan.
Sunlight
is the greatest disinfectant. And the sunlight of truth will expose the
lies of Barack Obama and the Democrats when it comes to reforming
health care.
